What to do if you lock keys in the car?
There are many solutions to getting locked keys out of a car. If a spare key cannot be obtained, the next step is to try these ideas:
If the car is older and has locks that go up a down, a straightened wire hanger with one end bended put between the door and rubber; put the hook end around the knob and it will unlock the door when it is pulled straight up. Another solution is to use a jimmy (slides into the door and operates locking mechanism). Calling a locksmith or the police are solutions as well. Crawling through the trunk works if the trunk happens to be open when the lockout occurs.
