Why are places of business not liable when a person is injured on their property but homeowners are?

Question

Why are places of business not liable when a person is injured on their property but homeowners are?

Answer

What makes you think that is the case? Business owners are liable for injuries that occur on their property just as much as homeowners. If you were injured at a business and they are telling you that they aren't liable then you need to hire a lawyer to represent your claims.

Answer

I agree. Generally you have two years to file suit for such a claim. If you file after that date, your claim could be barred by the statute of limitations. Perhaps the person telling you this has an interest in seeing that your claim is barred by limitations.

Get a lawyer.to look at your case.
