Why is water used to cool car engines?
Because the water conducts heat, and so the cars excess heat is took away by the cool water. Making sure the car will not get too hot to function properly or cause danger to the passengers or others around the car. We do not want the car to go up in flames! So, water is needed and no other liquid could do the job.
