Question

I am a Turkish citizen. My family moed to US 27 years ago. I was in jail for a couple of months 15 years ago for assault. I never had US citizenship and was asked by the FBI to assist them in exchange for US citizenship. I refused and I was told to exit the country or they would bother me. So I came to Turkey almost 2 years ago. I was told my police file need to be cleared before I could re enter the US. Now my mother who lives in the US has cancer ans I want to go back to care for her. If we prove this do I have better chance of re entering quicker. My father, sisters and kids are in the US.

Answer

It will depend upon the charges and will depend upon how you wish to enter the US - as a visitor or as a potential immigrant.
