Would you have to change the ecm if you chane your iroc-z to a manual transmission?
Not so sure about having to switch the ecu, but this I will tell you. The swap is gonna cost a lot more then you think. You are better off just buying a manual Iroc-Z and switching all your parts over. You are gonna have to run all the cables as well as drill a hole in your floor for the clutch pedal/assembly. If you don't know what you are doing this can lead to excessive road noise or dirt/water coming through your firewall into your car as well as plenty of added cabin heat.

Yes, the engine control module would need to be swapped out.
