Question

Hi - I live in Massachusetts and sometimes go jogging in the mornings through nearby park. There are usually 1 or 2 people jogging there as well.

I'd like to video-log my runs from the moment I get out of the house till when I get back into the house.

So - my question is - if I get a simple wearable camera and a stack of microsd cards -> can I wear it during jogging and record audio and video of me, park and other people? Is that legal? Can I freely show these recording to a law officers if needed?

Answer

You can video record without any problem. However, you can't audio record any person without their permission. If you audio record without permission you are committing a felony. A felony is a more serious criminal act and is punishable by imprisonment in state prison. You can show any lawfully made recording to law officers if you want.
