For example a good broadcaster must be able to intrigue it's viewers; have them be constantly be updated in the current events. A reason why certain broadcasters are successful is simply because they do their jobs and go beyond giving the news, instead they give insights into current events and are constantly putting their views into perspective.
Thus it's a different when it comes to local news channels because news reader simply state the words laid upon them. With that said news reader has to be able to a likable person, especially when wanting to attract viewers into watching their broadcasting station. They also should be able to evoke emotions and have sentiments to the type of news they are giving. It's also important to have certain qualities such as a well and broad vocabulary and have a good pronunciation. It's also important to engage your viewers like most public speakers do.
