Why are cars so big nowadays?
Because people have become bigger themselves.
In the 50's, 60's and 70's cars were bigger than they are now.
It is also a selling, point. People think more is better, but in this case it isn't. Hurts emissions and fuel economy, parking and traffic to an extent.
